The Living Art Museum wishes you a joyful holiday season and a bright New Year.

This year, we said goodbye to two of the museum’s founding members: Bjarni H. Þórarinsson (1947–2025) and Kristján Guðmundsson (1941–2025). We are deeply grateful for their invaluable contributions to Nýló. Their legacy lives on in the museum’s collection, where several of their works remain key pieces. May their memory be honored and remembered.

As always, we’re starting the new year with energy and celebration. We warmly invite you to our 48th birthday party, taking place on January 10th, 2026—details of the program will be announced soon!

The first exhibition of the year opens on January 24th, featuring a solo show by Þórdís Alda Sigurðardóttir.

Please note that the museum's office will be closed for the holidays from December 23rd until January 5th, 2026.
