The artist duo Klāvs Liepiņš & Renāte Feizaka and the collective Lucky 3 are nominated for the Icelandic Art Prize 2022 Motivational Award!

Klavs and Renata are nominated for their work in the exhibition As you are now so once was I/As I am now so will you be at The Living Art Museum, autumn of 2021. The duo presented an extensive installation in many parts. Visitors travelled through the space along prepared channels or tracks, so as not to disturb the situation, creating a kind of unchoreographed choreography. The existence of man and political stance is underlying in their video works in the same exhibition. Fictitious persons are a recurring motif in the duo’s work, and appear interpreted by the artists themselves in ridiculous, pointless and often comical situations.

The exhibition was duo exhibition of Klavs, Renate and Raimonda Sereikaitė-Kiziria, curated by Katerína Spathí.

Lucky 3 were nominated for the performance PUTI at Open, during Sequences real time art festival í október 2021.

The group is formed by three artists: Dýrfinna Benita Basalan, Darren Mark and Melanie Ubaldo.

For last year's Sequences X Art Festival they showed the performance/social choreography PUTI at OPEN . For PUTI (meaning white) the artists wore white clothes and took on the roles of cleaners, a job which many Filipinos in Iceland have and is often associated with immigrants.

The festival was curated by Thoranna Björnsdóttir and Þráinn Hjálmarsson. The festival is run by The Living Art Museum, Kling & Bang and the Icelandic Art Promotion Center, as well as a powerful professional council consisting of artists and independent parties who are active in the artist-run scene in Reykjavík at any given time.

Heartfelt congratulations from The Living Art Museum team to all the nominees for the Icelandic Art Prize 2021!
