WHAT ARE PEOPLE FOR? is a collaborative project between musician and producer Manuela Rzytki and artist Anna McCarthy.
The title stems from a publication and exhibition by McCarthy and lays the foundation for the content and lyrics of the project.
Biography
Anna McCarthy studied at Kingston University of Art & Design, Academy of Fine Arts Munich and Glasgow School of Art. Over the past few years, her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions including D-0 ARK Underground in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kunstverein Munich, Schaustelle/Pinakothek der Moderne, Kunstbau im Lenbachhaus Munich, Kunstverein Göttingen and Kunstraum Munich, among many others. Her work is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and includes installation, music, video work, performance, drawing, collage and painting.
Manuela Rzytki is known as a musician and producer in bands such as PARASYTE WOMAN, LE MILLIPEDE, GRAG & die Landlergeschwister, KAMERAKINO and numerous theatre projects at the Residenztheater, Kammerspiele and Volkstheater in Munich, as well as at the Staatsschauspiel Darmstadt and Cologne.
