Curated by Þorgerður Ólafsdóttir and Eva Ísleifsdóttir.

The exhibition presents works which draw from ideas of temporality and are chosen in relation to the Living Art Museum’s two main functions; its collection on the one hand and the museum as an exhibition platform on the other. The exhibition is made up of works from the collection along with new works that react to the context of the exhibition.

The exhibition is meant to allow for a view into the museum’s core, its past and future, by presenting an emerging generation of artists and their various views on the concept of time in conjunction with works from the collection, whose makers were working on a variation to the same theme at another time. The title of the exhibition draws from the publication Archive on the run, which will formally be launched in conjunction with the exhibition’s opening. The publication is the result of the museum’s recent introspective process as part of the Uppspretta project.
